The Institute for Plant Molecular and Cell Biology (IBMCP, CSIC-UPV) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to support the implementation, monitoring and reporting of its Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence programme, including the associated internationalisation initiatives.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Scientific Director and institutional stakeholders, contributing to the coordination of strategic activities, compliance with funding requirements and the successful implementation of the programme’s scientific and institutional objectives.
Key responsibilities will include coordinating the Severo Ochoa strategic plan and annual action plans; monitoring milestones, deliverables, indicators and budget execution; preparing technical and financial reports; organising governance meetings, Scientific Advisory Board meetings, workshops and evaluation activities; and supporting recruitment, training, outreach, internationalisation and knowledge transfer initiatives funded under the programme.
IBMCP is looking for a candidate with experience in research project management, preferably within publicly funded research environments, strong organisational and coordination skills, experience in preparing technical reports and monitoring indicators, knowledge of national and European research funding frameworks, and excellent written and spoken English.
This is a full-time position based at IBMCP in Valencia, Spain, initially linked to the Severo Ochoa programme for the period 2026–2029, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and institutional needs. The expected starting date is September 2026.
