Summary:

Gene activity is essential for plant development and responses to environmental changes.
This activity is regulated, among other mechanisms, by proteins that modify the organization
of DNA within cells.
Among these are SWI/SNF complexes, which are composed of different proteins whose
functions are not yet fully understood.
This doctoral thesis focuses on the study of two of these proteins, BDH and PSA1. The
results contribute to a better understanding of the function, specialization, and evolution of
these complexes, as well as their role in regulating gene activity in plants.
