The Institute for Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMCP, UPV-CSIC) took part in the Fira dels Invents organised by the Universitat Politècnica de València, a science outreach initiative aimed at bringing research and innovation closer to society.
Throughout the event, the IBMCP team shared a series of hands-on demonstrations with students, families and the general public, showing in a practical and accessible way how work is carried out in a plant molecular and cellular biology laboratory. Through experiments, explanations and participatory activities, attendees were able to discover some of the processes used to study plants and better understand their role in food production, sustainability and the future of biotechnology.
IBMCP’s participation in this fair reinforces its commitment to science outreach and to transferring the knowledge generated at the institute to society, especially among younger generations.
