Biography
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), and later specialized in the field of plant biotechnology through a Master’s in Plant Biology and Biotechnology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). My time in various research laboratories, all related to plant bio(techno)logy, has not only provided me with professional experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, but also sparked my curiosity about the world of plants. It is clear that there is still much basic knowledge to uncover, and that the plant world holds great potential to address future social and environmental challenges.
For this reason, in my current professional stage, I have decided to pursue doctoral studies as a way to contribute—however modestly—to the advancement of knowledge in this field. I also see this as an excellent opportunity for both professional and personal growth. I truly believe that one must strive every day to improve in order to reap the rewards of their efforts, and I am convinced that learning is a never-ending process in science.
