Biography
Mª Dolores Gómez is currently a Tenured Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). She earned her degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Valencia in 1992 and completed her PhD in 2000. Her doctoral research was carried out at the IBMCP under the supervision of Drs. José Pio Beltrán and Luis Cañas, and focused on the development of reproductive organs in Pisum sativum. In 1997, she obtained a position as Senior Specialist Technician and was responsible for the IBMCP Microscopy Service from then until 2007. In 2007, she joined Dr. Juan Carbonell’s group as a Tenured Scientist, and she is currently a member of the Hormonal Signaling in Fruit and Seed Development group. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in science outreach as a member of the IBMCP Outreach Committee and participates in teaching within the Master’s program in Molecular and Cellular Plant Biotechnology.
