Biography

Dr. Jordi Petit is a quantitative genetic scientist. He did his PhD research at Wageningen University and Research on the field of Plant Breeding for Bio-based Economy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luisa Trindade and Dr. Elma Salentijn. His focus was the study of fibre quality variability in hemp to get insides into its genetic architecture. He is currently a Postdoc Researcher at IBMCP/CSIC. He is working on the genetics of tomato in a European project named Harnesstom. His focus is to increase the speed and efficiency in prebreeding and improve the fruit quality of tomato.
