- Tráfico de proteínas y RNAs a través del floema.
- Silenciamiento de RNA en el proceso de patogénesis de virus y viroides.

La profundización en el conocimiento de los mecanismos de expresión de virus que afectan a árboles frutales, a ornamentales y a especies hortícolas ha posibilitado su aplicación a resolver aspectos prácticos de ciertas virosis problemáticas para el Sector socioeconómico correspondiente.
